New Music: Fifth Harmony Feat. Kid Ink “Worth It”

Fifth Harmony team up with Kid Ink for new single, and Jason Derulo knockoff, “Worth It.” The song is built around a sax loop that recalls the 2014 smash, “Talk Dirty.” The sassy song shows a more mature side of the ladies, which is much needed in their bubblegum personas. No other line showcases that than hearing the sweet, bow-wearing Camila sing, “I like it a little rough/ Not too much/ But baby just enough.” Damn.

I am glad that these ladies are the hot-thing-of-the-moment, but my reaction to these “hits” have been lukewarm. Furthermore, my expectations for Reflection were struck with a “Sledgehammer” when I saw that the girls have a song title “Like Mariah” that samples the iconic “Always Be My Baby” melody line and possibly Mariah herself. Sigh. Listen to “Worth It” below and tell us what you think! Pre-order Reflection on iTunes now!
